The No-Show by Beth O’Leary begins with three women being stood up on Valentine’s Day—Siobhan for breakfast, Miranda for lunch and Jane for dinner. They seemingly have nothing else in common, but as the story unfolds, the reader learns they all have one important thing that connects them—more precisely, one man.
O’Leary’s novels feel modern, heartwarming and poignant, but this one particularly touches the heartstrings. Even better, there are surprises in store that keep readers trying to fit the pieces of the characters’ lives together as they simultaneously find their loyalties for each of the characters shifting with each twist.
Other titles by O’Leary include The Flastshare, The Switch and The Road Trip.
