The Spirit of the Lakes Festival has all the attractions that make up a great community event, including a parade, arts festival, fireworks, food and more. It also has some of the most sought-after local entertainment booked by Pat Maund, owner of Maund Entertainment, Inc. who has been working with the festival since 2012.
“I love bringing really good entertainment out here,” says Maund, “and seeing the community’s reaction and the feedback is fun.”
Some of this year’s headliners are Maiden Dixie, a country group with a strong local presence, and Rhino, a band that Maund says “really gets the crowd going” with drum solos and stellar performances. The festival will feature other bands throughout the three days as well as magicians, fire dancers and a local talent show.
The best part? “It’s free,” says John Beise, chairman of the Spirit of the Lakes Festival board. “You can just be there and enjoy the environment for free. It’s a great way for families to get out and have some fun around here."
