This year has seen new releases from The Black Keys and Raconteurs. So it’s easy if you overlooked Fontaines D.C. and their debut, Dogrel. The Dublin rockers have been getting a lot of local love lately (tickets for their September show at 7th Street sold out well in advance), so don’t be surprised if you see them playing Rock the Garden in the future. Fontaines D.C. are without question an Irish band, but they are also everyone’s. And no one’s. They tip a hand to their post punk influences on “Television Screen,” but pep it up on a Strokes-like mod number, “Liberty Belle.” Other standout singles, “Big” and “Boys in the Better Land,” pair well with monotonous chores or light anarchy. Suggested for fans of The Fall, Arctic Monkeys, or Dropkick Murphys.
