Listening House Affirms Dignity of All

A Saint Paul nonprofit continues to make a difference after 31 years.

Since 1983, Listening House, a nonprofit community center and day/evening shelter in Saint Paul, has provided guidance and donated goods to disadvantaged individuals. “Humans are complex, but we have a universal need to know we matter, because that is where hope thrives,” executive director Rosemarie Reger-Rumsey says. “Listening helps people heal, and acknowledging their dignity is the essence of our mission.”

Listening House accepts donations year-round. Much-needed items for spring include jeans, T-shirts, running shoes, raincoats, mugs and travel-size toiletries. Donations can be dropped off at Listening House, 215 Ninth St. W. Visit listeninghouse.org for more information.
