Birch’s Restaurant and Bar in Long Lake has a blast concocting yummy seasonal drinks as the owner, manager and servers share creative input. Staunch supporters of local ingredients, they love Minnesota-made Prairie Organic vodka. Prairie Organic gin just joined the roster, opening up a new realm of holiday quaffing. Tannenbaum and tonic, anyone?

Santa-tini
2 parts Prairie Organic vodka
1-2 drops of wild cherry bark vanilla Bittercube bitters (available in liquor stores)
Cocoa powder and cayenne

Shake liquor over ice.
Dip the rim of the glass in cocoa and cayenne.
Pour and serve.


Pumpkin Pie Martini

2 parts Rumchata
1 part Prairie Organic vodka
1 part pumpkin liqueur (may substitute 3 Tbsp. pumpkin pie filling)
1 sprinkle of grated cinnamon over top
 
Shaken, served straight up or on the rocks (up is recommended).

Apple Pie Martini

1 part Navan natural vanilla liqueur 
1 part Prairie Organic vodka
2 parts apple cider
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 squeeze of lime
