The Harvest Home Florists in Wayzata Become a Local Sensation

High-end design and sophisticated taste make Harvest Home a Wayzata gem.
Mark Bradley, co-owner of Harvest Home, holds a spring arrangement that could be used as a centerpiece.

From custom, fresh floral arrangements to high-style home decor, Harvest Home really is a full-service garden center.
“We specialize in that high-end European garden look that more people are desiring,” Mark says. “Our customers want more than just what’s offered at the cookie cutter garden shops.”
And they’ll find that and more at Harvest Home. Floral consultation for weddings and personalized home visits to help with landscaping and gardening add value to this local gem.
“Our goal is to be more of a service-oriented business,” says Mark. “Bob and I want to go to our client’s homes and do all the work. From planting to grooming to making the color pop, we aim to satisfy our customers.”

The brothers have been working in this industry for more than 20 years and opened Harvest Home in September 2013. They travel around the globe looking for distinctive products that match their sophisticated clientele.
This summer, they’re expecting Eugenia trees, annuals, ivies and topiary trees to be big. But, even before warm weather hits, customers will start flooding in just to see greenery and bask in the ambiance of fresh flowers.
“In January, customers will be ready for spring,” says on-staff designer, Vicky Greer. “Bulbs, daffodils, crocuses... they’ll just gobble them up. People come here just to experience fresh flowers and new life in the middle of winter.”
By offering how-to and DIY classes for the public, Harvest Home is also etching its mark into the western suburbs as a one-stop-shop for creative design. Classes range from learning about shade and sun planting to container planting to window boxes.
With an outdoor garden center attached to the store, fresh flowers and creative insight are literally just around the corner. And nestled in the back of the store is a wedding consultation room. Charming and delicate, this is the perfect place to envision the Big Day.
Greer knows first-hand how to combine a bride’s vision with florals and decorations.
“They come in knowing what they want. With the help of websites like Pinterest, the brides have very creative ideas,” she says. “We go with what they want, but put our own spin on it. It’s all very custom... very one-on-one with each bride.”
Whether it’s to plan a wedding or just catch a glimpse of spring on a cold, winter day, customers are flocking to Harvest Home.
“A lot of our customers say they feel peaceful when they’re in here shopping,” says employee Bobbi Piazza. “They feel inspired.”

Tips for Sprucing Up Your Home and Garden
from Bob Bradley at Harvest Home
1. Change it up. Change is powerful and by bringing in new or refurbished décor, you can create excitement in your home. It also gets you ready for the approaching season.
2. Get your hands dirty. Start with fresh spring colors like orange or pink and redecorate a space in your home. A new color will create a different vibe in your indoor living space.
3. Bring the outdoors inside. Use pansies, violas, bulbs and indoor grass to create some life inside your home.
4. Host a plant party. Pick a plant color and ask each guest to bring a different plant to swap in that color. It’s an easy and fun way to get ready for spring.

Orange is the new black. And the hit show on Netflix isn’t the only thing saying so.

Mark and Bob Bradley, brothers and owners of the Wayzata-based garden center Harvest Home, are expecting vibrant florals—like oranges and pinks—to be in high demand this spring and summer.
