A Halloween Story
Prepare to be scared at The Haunted Dome in Long Lake.
This Halloween, get your annual dose of spooky at The Haunted Dome in Long Lake. At 30,000 square feet, the dome is home to werewolves, cannibals and more. Unlike other haunted houses, The Haunted Dome concentrates on not just the immediate second of fear, but the entire theatrical performance and the story from start to finish. Guided tours focus on the “backstory that fuels the haunt,” says David Barnhill, producer of the haunted festivities and self-proclaimed problem solver who has worked in the “haunt” industry for more than 40 years. Barnhill is also the mentor to the younger group of terror experts he’s handing the reins to this year, who will bring a fresh perspective on horror and haunting. —Madie Scott
