Gilda’s Club Twin Cities Breaks Ground in Minnetonka

A cancer support community comes to Minnetonka.

No one should have to face cancer alone. With Gilda’s Club Twin Cities, a local affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, the hope is that no Minnesotan will. Named after Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner, who died from cancer in 1989, Minnetonka’s new clubhouse is one of the more than 50 free healing resource centers in the country. Construction began last spring, and the free support service for men, women and families will open to the public by the end of 2013.According to a nationwide survey, 95 percent of Gilda’s Club users reported that it had a positive impact on their life. gildasclubtwincities.org
