High Low Glitter, the game that Stephanie Ross created to encourage her twin daughters, Heather and Emily, to reflect on and share their daily experiences, has evolved into a free app that allows family members to stay connected to each other no matter how far from the family dinner table they find themselves.
The app lets users share the best (high), worst (low) and most surprising (glitter) parts of their day with up to seven family members or friends.
Ross, a personal and professional development coach, says she was motivated to go digital three years ago during her daughters’ freshman year of college when she missed hearing about their daily lives.
“It’s about capturing the delightful and frustrating moments of our journeys,” says Ross. “Not everything is rainbows and unicorns, but pausing to reflect and share in a holistic and honest way is invaluable.”
In addition to staying connected to family and friends, some subscribers use High Low Glitter as a personal journal, recording their highs, lows and glitters as a daily exercise in self-reflection.
