Interested in bringing a pet into your life on a short-term basis? Then consider fostering a cat or kitten through the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley.
As a foster home, you would provide temporary in-home care for potentially adoptable cats or kittens until they are ready for evaluation and placement for adoption. In addition to basic care, foster volunteers often take an active role in providing training/behavior coaching, socializing, physical therapy or medications under the guidance of shelter staff.
While time commitments vary depending on the animal, kitten fosters typically range from 2 to 4 weeks while moms with litters and surgical recovery cases can range from 4 to 8 weeks.
