For parents short on ways to keep their young ones busy, Macaroni Kid is a newsletter and website that offers information on local events, kid-friendly recipes, articles written by community members, crafts and more.
The Minnetonka Macaroni Kid site started just over a year and a half ago (after its national parent began in 2008), and is now being kept alive by Watertown resident Leah Peterson, who felt drawn to Macaroni Kid after quitting her graphic design and marketing job.
“It allows me to do the things I love the most—connect with other parents in the community, involve my children in all the great activities our community has to offer and utilize my skills in marketing and graphic design,” says Peterson.
