As of Friday, August 24, ResourceWest is only half-way to their $20,000 goal for the Back-to-School Program—and distribution of backpacks and supplies to students begins on Monday!
Cash contributions, combined with in-kind gifts, provide school supplies for more than 1,200 students from low-income families. ResourceWest asks that you please consider giving a gift to the program today through August 31. All donations will be matched by the generosity of the Carver-Hennepin County Chapter of Thrivent Financial. Together, we can send our children to school ready to learn.
Current high need items:
- 2-pocket folders
- Wide- and college-ruled notebooks
- Wide- and college-ruled loose leaf paper
- 10-pack washable markers
- 12-pack colored pencils
- Red pens
All students registered in the Minnetonka and Hopkins school districts who meet the income restrictions are eligible for our program. Know a family in need? There is still time; call 952.988.5350 to register.
