Mary GrandPré, illustrator of the iconic Harry Potter series, brings her sense of magic and wonder to a new personalized bedtime story. In collaboration with I See Me! co-founders Maia and Allan Haag (featured in our January issue, hitting your mailboxes this week!), and author Jennifer Dewing, GrandPré co-released Goodnight Little Me in November 2013.
“The reason I agreed to illustrate the book is because I connected with the manuscript," says GrandPré. "It had this really magical, lyrical way of talking about this parade of animals in the night sky.” In Goodnight Little Me, colorful animals come together to put on a grand goodnight parade for children. Birds whistle a tune, mice twirl flags, sheep come a-leaping and more. GrandPré says, “It’s a magical way to tuck a child in for bed.”
What's even more unique is that the books can be personalized to include your child's name on practically every page. Even a few celebrities have picked up on the trend—read more about I See Me! and the personalized book trend and find out which famous moms have snaggged the books for their kids in the newest issue of Lake Minnetonka Magazine!
