Davanni’s has a win-win—actually, more of an eat-eat—deal for you. Donate some food, and they’ll feed not only you and yours, but those who really need it.
For the third consecutive year, Davanni’s is helping families in need by stocking the Emergency Foodshelf Network’s food shelves. Just bring in three nonperishable food items to any Davanni’s July 23 & 24 and you’ll receive a Solo One-Item (thin or traditional crust) or $4.98 off another item on the menu.
Davanni’s, a local pizza and hot hoagie restaurant with many locations throughout the state, is shooting to collect more than 6,000 pounds of food this year. That sounds pretty overwhelming, but it’s not a far cry from the 4,950 pounds they collected last year to feed about 12,375 families.
Check for a Davanni’s location nearest you, and check the list of suggested food donations, including some kid-friendly food items.
This is an easy way for those who are interested in feeding families in need, but don’t have a lot to give in this tough economy. You don’t have to give much, and you get something in return. Everybody eats.
