Biking Between Seasons

South Lake Cycle recommends versatile gear for fickle weather.

As summer moves lazily toward fall, bikers start to think about how to dress for cooler weather. Mark Schnorr of Excelsior’s South Lake Cycle has some great advice on the subject. “There are leg warmers and arm warmers,” says Schnorr, “which are great because you can take them off when the sun comes out and things warm up, or put them on when things get cold.” He also recommends a packable wind shell for late-summer gusts, and a transition option toward full-fingered gloves.
