ABC’s The Bachelor Filmed Becca Kufrin’s Hometown Date at Minnetonka Orchards

Twin Cities–native Becca Kufrin planned the date for her then-boyfriend Arie Luyendyk.

Twin Cities–native Becca Kufrin, the current Bachelorette and former Bachelor winner on ABC’s popular series, planned a date for her then-boyfriend Arie Luyendyk at Minnetonka Orchards during her stint on The Bachelor last year. (They split post-show in a now-infamous special episode.)

Kelly Delisle, operations manager and events coordinator for Minnetonka Orchards, says, “The producers and film crew came out about four times before the actual day to look at the orchard, see where they would like to shoot and ask a few things of us,” Delisle says.

In order to ready the orchard for filming, the staff had to clean and redecorate certain areas, such as the Caramel Apple House. “Arie took a basket of [caramel] apples from our orchard, and they carved their initials into one of our trees,” Delisle says.
